Triple C Spearguns 1st Place in KW Wahoo Shootout 2016 & 2017 February 11, 2017

What an incredible wahoo season we have had this year. This year aboard Farout Charters we won the Key West Wahoo Shootout once again. Two years in a row we have  won 1st Place Team, 1st & 3rd Individual, and the Captain’s Award. A big thank you to JP Castro and his crew for putting on an incredible event, my good friend Captain Chris Mendola for putting us on the fish, my teammates (Jerry Guerra, G.R. Australia – Part 1

Australia – Part 1 February 4, 2017

– Sydney –  I started my adventure in Sydney and planned to work my way up the coastline to the Great Barrier Reef. I didn’t know how much I’d be diving but I had my gear from Tonga! Oddly enough on my first day I met a fellow freediver at a bar and we made plans to shore dive Shelly Beach, a beautiful small beach that doubles as a marine reserve. To get there I boarded the $3.50 ferry across the harbor and…

Wahoo Fever is Real January 23, 2017

*Gallery Below – Hot Links* With the Key West Wahoo Shootout around the corner (Jan. 28 & 29th at the Waterfront Brewery) I thought it would be a good time to share my wahoo tails and media! Triple C will have a team this year sponsored by Saltwater Syndicate apparel to defend the 1st place title. (Watch 2016 wahoo video) I arrived back from the South Pacific only to find myself surrounded by schools of Wahoo! My first day back in the water I saw…

Welcome home party! December 11, 2016

First day back home from the South Pacific & what a day it was! The first 5 minutes in the water I had an amazing encounter with a ballyhoo baitball & two hungry sailfish. The action did not stop there, our charter each landed their first wahoo with Triple C Spearguns. (CLICK “TITLE” FOR PICS) I even manage to join the fun landing nice sized wahoo & black grouper myself.

Spearfishing Quebec September 19, 2016

“5 strangers, a mutual passion, a new location and a lot of fun! When I decided to explore rivers and lakes in Quebec, I threw the idea to a few people I knew from the Spearfishing community and invited them to join me in discovering my own native waters. We mostly never met before but they were all in for a new adventure! To an incredible week with awesome people!!”  – Valentine Thomas Thank you so much to the Thomas…

USOA Freshwater National Championship – Beaver Lake, Arkansas September 19, 2016

The tournament was a fantastic event that showed me how competitive spearfishing can really be with people traveling all over the world to participate and to win! All though I did not light up the score card, I met a ton great people within our sport, and embraced the cold murky freshwater knowing there were no sharks 😉
